Split, Croatia, Yugoslavia 1988. Dejan Katalenic ignites the Thrash Metal band Witchcraft. They quickly finish ten songs and record them, releasing seven of them early 1989 as a demo in ten copies.Nine of these tapes were according to legend send to western labels. The market for the music itself was there, but no Yugoslav record companies were allowed to release music with these kinds of lyrics at the time. One tape ended up in King Diamond’s possession providing influence for his 1990´s album The Eye. Another copy ended up influencing Sepulturas intro for their 1989 album classic Beneath the Remains. Not a bad result for 10 copies of Croatian Speed Metal. Unfortunately the band never heard back from any of the recipients of the demos. Fast forward a couple of years, the iron curtain drops and Withcraft lives on in various line ups over the years, but always led by Dejan Katalenic. Finally available in a well deserved proper format after 36 years.

Included in this new release are the three extra tracks recorded in the same session. So it’s kind of old, but at the same time brand new.

Blistering old school dödsmetall spread across 41+ minutes is out today everywhere! After the teasing with the previous 4 track EP, the titans of Sweden are back, and they are not messing about. Get in, turn up and get lost in the maze of torment!

Even more decomposed, wicked and vigorous. This deadly serpent will swallow you whole! Merciless drums! Crushing riffs! Violating growls! Morbid insanity as a whole! The phrasing; «These guys need no introduction» comes to mind. The band consists of legends of the Swedish Metal scene. Together they have participated on numerous Swedish and international classics and performed on the largest stages. The members of Eldfödd have been involved in a whole lot of standout releases and participating live with too many to mention. But, ok, let’s mention a few; Necrophobic, Dismember, Deströyer 666, Nifelheim, Darkened, Dreadful Fate, General Surgery, Under the Church, In Aphelion, Maze of Torment, Witchery and many, many more.

Sisyphean from Vilnius, Lithuania is one the most exciting bands of the genre. So far, they have released two full-length albums – This third album, titled Divergence.

Perfect for the quietness of the winter forest, but also well suited for a walk through the city centre. Earphones on. A bleak drizzle of rain in the city or a hazy mist in the forest. No stars in the sky, or sun in the morning, just gloom and a sense of hopelessness. But there is always a way to retaliate. To stand up to the poison of lies, deceit and oppression. The feeling of the song is both solitude and anger. Still the solitude is by choice and not by force. Is there a plot for revenge in the making?

2. A Point in the Abyss

4. Stupor Mundi

In the shadow of the gallows, in the burning fields of next year’s crop, in the minds of every maggot ridden corpse – We can only hope for the return of the SIGN OF EVIL. And now the Chilean maniacs are back with PSYCHODELIC DARKNESS. Following up their 2022 album Psychodelic Death shouldn´t be easy, but the noose is now tightening in an even more satisfying way.
Unpredictable, dangerous and extremely free of the limitations that what normal people call normal people suffer from. This Chilean band is like a Venom on acid using distortion and chorus effects without limitations, simply because it sounds awesome. Although modern and exciting in their approach, the darkness YOTH IRIA thrust ahead into the nothingness of modern music, comes from an ancient place. A place untouched by the plagues of conformity and compromise. BLAZING INFERNO offers no pardon but provides you with a visit to the occult spirituality the modern world lacks to offer. Humanity used to be linked with nature and was respectful of the forces we weren’t capable of understanding. YOTH IRIA sends a strong spiritual reminder to all of us, to not ignore the past at the cost of your future.

“YOTH IRIA is the rays of Lucifer the first, Satan the second and Devil the third sent to the earth to help and give courage to the simple people and help mother earth to survive. After YOTH IRIA came in, the earth took shape and form. Magic as a way of life and freedom without fear.”

If you want to hear some new music that looks back without hesitation, but still creates something new and exciting - Check out BLAZING INFERNO!

Past the edge of reason and harmony we find SIDERAN coming from space via Slovenia. Cosmic and deadly, atonal but harmonic. Adventurous and unlimited, their cosmic and technical approach to metal does not in any way stand in the way of elegant brutality and force. Yet, it’s a more intelligent force and a more stellar brutality. SIDERAN offers a unique blend of both dissonance and harmony. Freedom of generic arrangements is the key. It’s also wonderfully liberating listening to the easiness of the craftsmanship. Sometimes complexity sounds forced and natural. This is not the case with SIDEREAN.

The new album follows up 2021´s Lost on Void´s Horizon even better than we had anticipated. SIDEREAN is a unique and special spectral stone than shines like an illuminated diamond in the night sky, trailing the galaxies and nebulae SPILLING THE ASTRAL CHALICE wherever it might suit them.

This new exploration was recorded and mixed by Anze Canzek at Negligence Studios, mastered by Gabriele Gramaglia at Crepuscular Sound Studio and wrapped in stellar artwork courtesy of Fernando JFL. Be sure not to miss SPILLING THE ASTRAL CHALICE on the 13th of September…oh and also absolutely do NOT miss the band on tour throughout Europe in September as well!

The first glimpse into the multiverse of mastermind Obscura also known from the up and rising black metal force ASAGRAUM. Drumming duties was handled by Averse Moon on this release which will be released on the 29th of March through Edged Circle Productions on several vinyl variations, CD and digital.

OBSIDIAN SUN is the very epitome of the more teutonic black metal ways of the early 90s and not straying afar from the visions presented by Obscura’s main band ASAGRAUM. When ones vision is as pure fire as the creator behind this, it should not come as a huge surprise the atmosphere will not differ exponentially from its source. Pure vision and dedication to the dark arts is a work of focus and steady course of direction.

This is death metal warfare noise. No compromises, no prisoners taken – just a full-on sonic blast of destruction. Just like the cover, an original oil painting by German artist George Grosz called “Explosion”, meant to visualize the horrors of WW1 if the war ever reached Berlin. With buildings torn apart, smoke and fire painting the night sky in horrendous beauty, and everywhere - death and suffering, it is still a horrible but beautiful piece of art. Little did the artist know what would happen about 28 years later.

Spawned as a collaboration between SúrNamtar on guitar, bass and vocals and GAU-18A on drums. Everything was recorded and produced by David Billia in MK2 Recording Studios located in Ivrea, Italy in 2024.

Produced by the band along with SPIDERGAWD’s Per Borten at Sørgården Studio, Cakes & Coffins bristles with a unique energy: while “dark” for MAGICK TOUCH, there’s nevertheless an invigorating / inspiring aspect to the album that keeps it from being a total slit-your-wrists fest. Such is the eternal power & glory of HEAVY METAL. “When the world stopped spinning and went into pandemic panic, it became even clearer that our splendor of living might not endure,” expounds drummer Bård Nordvik. “A bleaker worldview, however, did produce some bright and shimmering hard rock moments that hopefully can inspire to make a better future and even better heavy metal live shows.”

It could be argued that MAGICK TOUCH hit their apex of good-times classicism with Heads Have Got to Rock’n’Roll, but such a zenith simply set the stage for a new one in Cakes & Coffins. “It feels good to finally be back with some new, heavy tunes that also bring something new to the MAGICK TOUCH universe,” states vocalist/guitarist HK Rein.

Ascending from the ice cold abyss of the Swedish underground, KRYPTAN was formed in early 2020 by Mattias Norrman (OCTOBER TIDE, ex-KATATONIA) to realize his passion for the more sinister scapes of music. Joined by long-time friend Alexander Högbom (OCTOBER TIDE) on vocals, KRYPTAN draws inspiration from the raw aggression and eerie mood of the 90s era of Scandinavian black metal to deliver an eclectic, modern take on the genre.

After releasing a well-received self-titled EP in 2021 and bringing their powerful atmospheric black metal to the stage, KRYPTAN signed on to Norwegian label extraordinaire Edged Circle Productions to unleash their first full-length album in 2025.

"Violence, Our Power" presents seven brand-new songs of thrilling energy, weaving together shattering riffs, thunderous drums and bone-chilling vocals into a compelling experience that captures both the merciless cold of the north and the fury of inner darkness.

The new attack on everything boring shows a band that has matured further when it comes to song writing and arrangement but has not forgot the aggression and juvenility that is so very much needed in this genre. Just like a bag of beers this record could have been brought to a home alone party in 1990 and caused havoc on the dance floor. The spirit of old combined with the splendour of youth makes for a great and timeless listen. Kreator could have followed up their early works with this epitome of snootiness, or Schizophrenia-era Sepultura could have gotten drunk together with Ride The lightning-Metallica and made this record. When Lethal Salvation ends this album, behold, the end of time for “Morbid Origin” is thrash at its best.

Originally discovered by Edged Circle, Inculter are a blistering thrash band hailing from the west coast of Norway. They first burst onto the scene with the Stygian Deluge 7″ EP in 2013 which quickly sold out and established them at rapid speed. From there, the still-very-young band were voted “Band of the Week” by Darkthrone’s taste making Fenriz. Spin forwards a few months; the arrival of “Persistent Devolution” was released and a few years after that their second peak “Fatal Visions”.

A new formation hailing from darkest, coldest Norway, EKROM sound exceptionally ancient, brimming with a fire that stoked (and literally burned) the country during the early '90s. Perhaps not surprisingly, the band is the work of two old souls: drummer Thomas Ødegaard (AKA Tex Terror, longtime drummer/vocalist of Nocturnal Breed) and vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Kharon, an early member of Norway's Covenant, during that band's earliest (and best) days.

CD: 2 CD edition w/ slipcase

Third full-length album of the Swedish/Canadian quintet DARKENED. The band which already consisted of members from bands like Excruciate, A Canorous Quintet and Grave, are now also strengthened with the massive drumming capacity of Perra Karlsson, well known for his work with Destroyer 666, Suffer and live with Benediction among others, as a new permanent member.

Witness CALES' seventh full-length from the mastermind Blackosh (Master's Hammer, ROOT, Nifelheim).

Frequently raging and always passionate, CALES here make epicness a compact affair, plainly stating their intent with aggressive zeal and then allowing the rough-yet-melodic riffing to lead the listener into the fray. As ever, Blackosh's likewise-rough-yet-melodic (and Quorthon-esque) tenor lends a loveable poignancy to proceedings, and he's joined by a number of notable guests: Big Boss of ROOT, Nifelheim's Hellbutcher, and even his daughter provides chants. Solemn yet still invigorating, CALES continue to occupy unique territory with Chants of Steel.

Now with the arrival of their 5th album to date, Bodyfarm are poised to assert, once and for all, their domination over the death metal scene. The arrangements for the upcoming album were mostly written by founding guitarist Bram Hilhorst and bassist-turned-fellow-guitarist Alex Seegers, with the lyrics written by vocalist/bassist Ralph de Boer and drums by new arrival David Schermann. Naturally, every member contributed his own part to Ultimate Abomination, keeping the album fresh yet firmly within the core Bodyfarm sound. The result sees a surprising infusion of catchiness and The Groove: be it galloping like the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, stomping slowly across the skulls of enemies, or rolling forward across the battlefield called life, Ultimate Abomination is a death metal maniac’s wet dream.

From shadows of black magic metal Edged Circle Productions is proud to present the new album from the satanic witches Asagraum. This new offering has been manifested into the realm of flesh under his will by the title "Veil of Death, Ruptured" and features brand new material which has been highly anticipated by the fans for years after the previous album "Dawn of Infinite Fire".

Asagraum are bigger than ever, but not in the sense measured by the common critics or by that of fame, but by the being of MORE. Everything has been elevated to a higher state of being and the outcome is as deadly as it is intoxicating.

Once again, like it's previous offering, the new album has been projected from it's vision by Obscura and A. Morthaemer.

CD: Jewelcase CD with 12 page booklet

Alas, the second album from Holland's coven of witches has arrived under the ominous (and prescient) title Dawn of Infinite Fire!

Quite accurately, Dawn of Infinite Fire sees Asagraum burning with equally intensity in songwriting, execution, and atmosphere, staying true to their original aims whilst pushing their classicist sound further into the present.

Granted, that blast-from-the-past classicism is inescapable - this is pure, traditional BLACK METAL above all - but not once across Dawn of Infinite Fire does that hinder their timeless expression. If anything, this is the sound of Asagraum at their most anthemic and triumphant, marching forward with obsidian austerity, reflecting their prolific presence on the live front: tangibly physical Black Metal, played with passion and authenticity and not augmented by cheap studio trickery. Brazen that expression might be - not to overstate the fact, but most nowadays Black Metal hides in the shadows - but Asagraum continue to sound fresh among that modern BM landscape, outstripping the prevailing trends and the pretenders who enable them.

NATT is a new instrumental band from Bergen. The songwriters behind the music are René Misje (Krakow, Trust Us) and Roy Ole Førland (Lindy-Fay Hella, Kari Rueslåtten, Malignant Eternal); Misje handles guitars, bass, piano and synthesizers while Førland handles synthesizers. They are joined by bassist Lord Bård and Enslaved drummer Iver Sandøy on drums and percussion for the studio session.

Their first public work together, Natt is a three-song/45-minute album. Mesmerizing and at times manic but always magickal.

Staying true to their sound whilst pushing their own limits, here on Fatal Visions do Inculter exhibit more finesse and flair, more magick and mastery. If Persisting Devolution leaned more on the raw side – understandably so, given the band’s youth at the time – then the self-produced Fatal Visions sees the now-quartet getting to the heart of their sound and, with mastering by Enslaved’s Herbrand Larsen, leaving a more powerful and timeless document for the ages.
