The Hammer is an ancient tool that has the ability to both build and destroy. Foot wield this almighty instrument like master craftsmen, pulling the listener through rhythms akin to the blacksmith at their anvil while their signature riffs round out this impressive soundscape.

Front man and creative force Paul Holden had this to say about The Hammer:

'Over the last two years and a whole lot of adversity I've been faced with a decision. Do I use the concept of The Hammer one way or the other. Myself, Matthias Dowle and Ryan Fallis took a week to work through a whole lot of tones and riffs to produce this album. Pretty heavy themes but it's pretty heavy music after all.

I hope you all enjoy.'

Introducing the debut album from Melbourne heavy psych three piece Fuzz Meadows, 'Orange Sunshine'.

The majesty of Fuzz Meadows’ debut release is in the journey, with gorgeously crafted heavy psych instrumentals twisting around through influences embedded in post rock and metal as well as a hearty smattering of stoner rock and shoegaze while bringing all of these elements together to cultivate a voyage that’s both earth-shakingly heavy at its core while ascending to euphoric climaxes. The listener can do no more but strap in and take a ride on Fuzz Meadows’ wave.

Several years in the making, Astrodome are set to release their third full length in October 2024. While acknowledging the youthful energy of their first two records (with vinyl editions of both proving to be hot property these days), they explore fresh sonic textures, marking a definitive evolution of their sound while retaining much of their stylistic essence. Each track’s narrative arc is crafted into sonic journeys, offering a more mature and well-thought-out take on the band's style.

The boys are back!

Brighton's ever-changing garage-psych powerhouse School Disco return with their latest offering Denton Rock. Recorded in Manchester through 2022, the record features their ever-present songwriter-in-chief Rory Lethbridge back on vocals and guitars, with a new line-up of musician pals around him.

On their new record, main man Rory said: ''’Denton Rock’ is an album I'm super proud of, with a whole new line-up we really got into a grooveplaying new songs and reimagining old ones live. We booked out a studio in Manchester that ourfriends have and we managed to get down 90% of the album in 3 days. We all really hit a groove andit was such a fun creative process with everyone down to get experimental and use the studios as abig playground. Some songs we had mastered before the studio, and some songs we finished in thestudio by playing around and jamming in a similar fashion to what we do live.I also reached out to a few friends and guests that really elevate the album with their contributions -Eva Lunny on harp adds such depth and Brennan Harvey's Alto Sax on Crying Beasts adds more forme than any guitar would. I feel we really took the DIY aesthetic that our first two albums have andelevated it further''.

Featuring their classic fuzzed-out style of heavy riff worship alongside catchy garage punk vocals, but with an expanded instrumental horizon this time around, as they add organs, synths and sax to the mix.

This is THE definitive edition of Comacozer's heavy psych classic Kalos Eidos Skopeo, with the album pressed for the first time as a double LP, featuring the tracks in their full-length wonder for the first time on vinyl. Oh, and did we mention each copy comes with an insane 3D lenticular print!

With Being Here, Turtle Skull have evolved. A new lineup. A fresh approach. A leap forward. While the album builds on the sonic foundations of 2020’s Monoliths, it’s a different beast. Still hefty and considered but more immediate. Made for the moment. A record that values gut instinct over perfection.

Tracked live at NoWave in Mullumbimby, with a paired-back approach to studio tweaking, Being Here captures that ‘lightning in a bottle’ energy that happens when a band fully locks in. New member Ally Gradon’s synths inject fresh energy, swirling around meaty riffs and driving rhythms. It’s expansive yet raw, drawing from the likes of Black Moth Super Rainbow, Idles and Cause Sui with a nod to the cinematic sprawl of Spiritualized and The Flaming Lips. A heavy, heady blend of melody and atmosphere.

Stirring a cauldron of psychedelic, global and progressive sounds, Endless Valley immerse audiences in a world of heady grooves, otherworldly guitars and Nayivadan chants.

The name Endless Valley symbolises ocean floors that if emptied, would connect continents. Their sound ranges from driving, danceable rhythmic grooves to hypnotising layered melodies, with no end of borders challenged in between.

The quintet’s sophomore album Kaskashir is a captivating fusion of psychedelic rock and world music that takes listeners on a journey through the ancient mystical landscapes of Nayivada.

HOMECOMING's latest album 'Those We Knew' reveals the band's well-honed personality, fusing grunge, 90s rock and progressive metal. ‘Those We Knew’ showcases remarkable vocal work that guides the listener through various musical tableaux. The vocals adapt to the moods and unite the tracks, tying together the influences. Discovering ‘Those We Knew’, we can easily imagine Alice In Chains featuring Tool or Cult Of Luna. The gloomy, heavy, sometimes hushed 90s tones collide with endless imagination, peppered by ethereal atmospheres, enticing introspection.

The debut album from Adelaide psych wizards Druid Fluids is out now and you can now pick up the repress on Memory Pool edition vinyl!

Following on from 2020’s lockdown masterpiece, The Balance of Nature Shifted, the band return this June with the sonic equivalent of a heavily wrought, fuzz-lined straitjacket in new album, You Are Weightless. Channelling the dynamic spirit of acts like Queens of the Stone Age and Alice in Chains, they envelope their music with social commentary and grand visions that help tip the scales in favour of the heavier, more visceral cradle of rock ‘n’ roll. It’s a sight and sound to behold and make no mistake, Holden, along with his band of merry sessioners, have quite possibly crafted their boldest and most revelatory album to date.
